Each blade carries over 500 layers and is built one knife at a time for collectors and serious knife enthusiasts.
Damascus Bowie knives combine one of the most iconic blade designs in knife history with the beauty of layered Damascus steel. The Bowie knife has long been associated with frontier craftsmanship and large working blades. When forged in Damascus steel, the result is a blade that carries both performance and character.
Every knife in this collection is made by hand in my workshop. The Damascus billets are forged in-house using layered steels that are pattern welded together under hammer and press. Each billet is repeatedly forged to create hundreds of layers before the blade is shaped, heat treated, and finished by hand.
Blade thickness typically ranges from 4 mm to 6 mm, depending on the design. Each knife is paired with a hand-stitched leather sheath designed for horizontal or vertical carry.

Carbon Damascus Steel
Many Bowie knives in this collection use high carbon Damascus steel forged from 1095 and 15N20 steel. These steels are layered together and forge welded to create the Damascus billet.
After forging, the blade is etched to reveal the layered Damascus pattern hidden inside the steel. This process creates the flowing patterns that make every Damascus knife unique.
These blades are heat treated to approximately 59–60 HRC, giving a strong balance of durability and edge retention.
Collectors appreciate carbon Damascus because of its traditional forging character and the deep contrast patterns that appear after etching.

Stainless Damascus Steel
Some knives in this collection use stainless Damascus steel made from VG10 and 15N20 steel layers. Stainless Damascus offers improved corrosion resistance while maintaining the layered structure that defines Damascus steel.
After heat treatment, these blades reach approximately 59–61 HRC, providing excellent edge performance while requiring less maintenance than traditional carbon steel.
This option is popular among buyers who want Damascus aesthetics with easier long-term care.

Handmade Craftsmanship
Every knife in this collection is built one blade at a time in my shop.
The Damascus billets are forged in-house using hammer and press equipment. Each blade is then shaped, heat treated, and finished carefully by hand. No factory production. No mass manufacturing.
Handle materials vary across the collection and include:
- stag antler
- bull horn
- camel bone
- micarta
- G10
- pine cone resin
- ironwood and other exotic hardwoods
Many knives feature full tang construction, brass guards, Damascus guards, and mosaic pins or copper pins.
Each knife is supplied with a hand-stitched leather sheath built for durability and everyday carry.

Choosing the Right Bowie Knife
When choosing a Damascus Bowie knife, buyers usually consider steel type, blade thickness, and handle material.
Carbon Damascus steel offers strong edge retention and classic Damascus character. Stainless Damascus steel provides improved corrosion resistance while maintaining layered steel construction.
Blade thickness between 4–6 mm gives these Bowie knives the strength expected from a large working blade while maintaining good cutting performance.
